Ties have dominated the first day of LaLiga EA Sports 2024-2025. At the moment, only Celta de Vigo and FC Barcelona have managed to add three points, both through comebacks and by the same score (1-2)

LaLiga EA Sports 2024-2025 continued this Saturday with its opening day on a day where, once again, ties prevailed. Only FC Barcelona was able to add its first three points, after overcoming Hugo Duro's initial goal at Mestalla (1-2). Hansi Flick's team took advantage of Robert Lewandowski's double to defeat Valencia in what was the German coach's official debut on the Barça bench.

The culés managed to react at the right moment in a match that had many of its great emotions in the final stretch of the first half. Duro put the 'ché' team ahead with a header in the 44th minute, after validation by the VAR, while 'Lewy' managed to equalize the actions in the 45+5', taking advantage of an assist from Lamine Yamal in the last play before the break. As soon as the match resumed, Raphinha caused a penalty that Robert converted to seal his double and the 'MVP' of the match.

With the victory, Barça provisionally equaled Celta at the top. The Galicians debuted at home on Friday with a victory against Alavés (2-1), also overcoming a one-goal deficit. The result was repeated between Betis and Girona (1-1), with goals from Marc Bartra (Betis) and Gabriel Misehouy (Girona). Friday's day closed with another tie in Gran Canaria. Las Palmas and Sevilla equalized in an entertaining match (2-2) that had two goals against in the first half, one per team.

On Saturday, before Valencia-Barça, Osasuna and Leganés tied in Pamplona (1-1). The visitors took the lead through Juan Cruz Díaz, but the 'rojillos' reacted in the second half with a goal from Juan Soriano in their own goal. This Sunday, Real Sociedad receives Rayo, while Real Madrid will go to Mallorca in Kylian Mbappé's debut in LaLiga. Matchday 1 closes on Monday with the Valladolid-Espanyol and Villarreal-Atlético duels.
