The 'Azulgrana' team has gone 17 matchdays without a defeat and has achieved its best streak this season in the league championship.
FC Barcelona is about to conclude LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 with truly stellar numbers. With 36 matchdays already played, Hansi Flick's team have secured the League title, accumulating a provisional record of 27 wins, four draws, and five losses, with the last two matches of the championship remaining: on Sunday, May 18 against Villarreal CF at Montjuïc and on Sunday, May 25 against Athletic Club at San Mamés.
17 matchdays without losing: the best streak of the season
Although the 'Azulgrana' team no longer has anything at stake in terms of classification, there is a record they will try to preserve: their current streak of 17 consecutive matches without losing in LaLiga EA Sports. Since their last defeat, a 1-2 against Atlético de Madrid, on December 21 at Montjuïc, the 'Azulgranas' have not lost in the domestic competition.
Since then, the 'Culés' have played 17 league matches, with 15 wins and two draws, in a streak that consolidates the team's great form:

This is, without a doubt, Barcelona's best streak in the 2024/25 season, greatly surpassing their previous best record this year, which was seven matchdays without losing, when they strung together seven wins between matchdays 1 and 7.
Can this Barcelona team approach the club's historical streak?
Despite the impressive current moment, FC Barcelona is still far from matching its best historical unbeaten record in LaLiga, which occurred between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. On that occasion, the 'Azulgranas' strung together 43 consecutive matchdays without losing, from April 15, 2017 (3-2 vs. Real Sociedad) to May 13, 2018, when they fell 5-4 against UD Levante.
That historic streak included 34 wins and nine draws, and it remains the record to beat in the club's history in the league competition. Will this Barça of Hansi Flick achieve it? We will have to give it time. For now, the sensations are quite encouraging regarding the achievement of this great feat.
