After a lot of years separating the football of clubs to give step to the selections, the UEFA seem to have given with the solution to avoid the friendly and look for a format that give interest and repercussion to the meetings between the combined of the old continent. After completing the phase of classification for the World-wide, the maximum organism of the European football has announced the list for the Nations League.

It will be a competition with four leagues, ordered according to his classification in the ranking of coefficients of national federations of the UEFA. In the first will be the most powerful teams: Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Iceland, Croatia and Holland.

Between them they will divide in four groups of three, and the winner of each group will happen to the final phase (final semifinals), with the aim to turn into the winner of the UEFA Nations League. The worst of each group will descend to the League B, and the four better selections classified that have not attained his note for the Eurocopa 2020 will contest a playoff to do with one of the passes at stake.

The Leagues B, C and D will work of the same way. Ordered in groups, and with the aim to rise to the one of greater level in function of the results. Besides, each one of them will have a playoff that will award the classification for the Eurocopa until to four groups, in addition to the 20 that already certify his presence through the system of traditional phases.

Calendar and peculiarities

The draw of the groups of each League will make  in the Centre of Conventions SwissTech of Lausana on 24 January 2018. The days will play between the days 6 and 8 September 2018; 9 and 11 September; 11 and 13 October; 14 and 16 October; 15 and 17 November; and 18 and 20 November. The final phase sorteará at the beginning of December of 2018 and will play of the 5 to 9 June 2019, and lyou quoted playoffs sortearán on 22 November and will play between the 26 and on 31 March 2020.
