Robert Lewandowski reaffirmed his continuity at Barça and, in addition, was sincere about his physical condition and the possible date of his professional retirement

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona is Robert Lewandowski's main priority in the medium and long term. In a chat with the German newspaper 'BILD', the 36-year-old striker again ratified his continuity in the team led by Hansi Flick, ruling out any market rumors that question his future at the club.

The Pole has one more year of contract assured, after playing 52 of Barça's 60 official matches in 2024/25. Although, for the moment, there is no news regarding his possible renewal, the '9' assured that this issue does not worry him at all.

'Lewy' will receive a gross salary of 26 million euros in 25/26, which will continue to be, for another year, the highest paid player in the squad. In that sense, he believes that, after having won more than 30 titles in his career "he is still ready for more" with the blaugrana shirt.

Lewandowski ratifies his intention to stay at Barça

"I will definitely stay next season. Right now, I only have Barcelona in my mind", began by saying the '9' blaugrana, who also assured that the Catalan team "will be even better next season".

In that sense, 'Lewy' made it clear that, beyond the physical problems he faced in the final stretch of 24/25, he is in very good physical condition. "Currently, my biological age is 30 years old. I think that's not bad at all. That corresponds to how I feel", argued the Pole.

Robert will turn 37 on August 21, but he is not thinking, much less, about hanging up his boots. The experienced striker, yes, is clear that, at the moment when his physique does not respond to the maximum demands of the European elite, it will be the time of the end.

Imminent retirement? Lewandowski 'gets wet' about his expiration date

"At some point, it will be about what my heart and my head say", said the Barça scorer. However, for now, the attacker has nothing else in mind than to continue reaping successes with his club and reach the next World Cup with Poland.

Lewandowski, yes, has prioritized resting this summer instead of traveling with his national team for the FIFA date in June. The Poles will play a friendly with Moldova before visiting Finland for the fourth day of the World Cup qualifier.

The '9' completed his best season in Spain, lifting the national treble (League, Cup and Super Cup) after scoring 42 goals in 52 games with those of Hansi Flick. In addition, he closed the course reaching his centenary scorer with the club thanks to his double against Athletic (0-3).
