This Friday 16 September have fulfilled 20 years since Andrés Iniesta, now first captain of the FC Barcelona, happened his first night with 12 years in The Farm of the FC Barcelona, in what it would be a long way until growing little by little like footballer and finish triumphing with the Barcelona group and the Spanish selection of football.
In a chapter called "The most sad night", pertaining to the book "The played of my life", the memories written by Iniesta with the collaboration of the journalists Ramon Besa and Marcos López, the manchego remembers the bad that happened it during his first night in Can Barça, conscious that from then would be far of his family and friends.
"Yes, it seems absurd, but is true, the worst day of my life have happened it in The Masia. Like this I felt it then and like this I'm sorry now, with so much intensity as if it had not happened the time", explains Iniesta in said chapter.
With the step of the years, however, was learning of the best and progressing in the inferior categories until debuting with the first team, do hollow and finish triumphing. It can that it do some years that do not go out big "cracks" of The Farm, but Iniesta is convinced that it is the model and the correct philosophy for a club of football.
"Some years can play a final of the Champions League with majority of canteranos and other times do not go out so many players, but the bases and the work in the basic football of the FC Barcelona is place", says Iniesta in an interview.
