Trophy Joan Gamper 2014 - FC Barcelona vs Club León

The Club León of Guanajuato (Mexico) will be the rival of the FC Barcelona in the Trophy Joan Gamper 2014, that will contest next Monday 18 August to the 20.30 hours in the Camp Nou. This will be the first time that the Mexican team, champion of the Closure 2013 and of the Opening 2014, contest the tournament of summer of the Barça. The Club León of Guanajuato was founded in the year 1944 and has won 7 Leagues and 5 Glasses of Mexico. It is the ex team of Rafa Márquez and is directed by Gustavo Matosas. 

The presence of Luis Enrique like new trainer of the Barcelona and of the new signings -Ter Stegen, Ivan Rakitic, Claudio Bravo, Luis Suárez, Mathieu, Deulofeu, Rafinha and Masip- will be the main attractions of the Trophy Joan Gamper 2014. Besides, taking advantage of the dispute of the tournament, the Camp Nou will surrender a deserved homage to two symbols of the Barça that have left the team this summer, Carles Puyol and Víctor Valdés.

The Barça will not do turns of pre-season in 2014. The tightened calendar, with the World-wide of Brazil of by half, has done that the next season the sportive criteria prevail on the economic. It will use the formula of friendly parties, with trips of gone and turn. The usual turns will not do by reasons of calendar, since the World-wide of Brazil will finish on 13 July and the numerous international Barcelona will need rest before going back.

The dispute of the Trophy Colombino will be the première of the Barça of Luis Enrique in the pre-season, will be the Saturday 19 July to the 22 hours in front of the Recreational of Huelva. The friendly second of the summer will be the Saturday 2 August against the OGC Nice in the Allianz Riviera, and some days afterwards, the Wednesday 6 August to the 20 hours, will contest in Ginebra (Switzerland) the friendly party against the Naples. The Saturday 9 August, will confront to the HJK Helsinki in the Olympic Stadium of the Finnish capital and the dispute of the Trophy Joan Gamper will be on 18 August in front of the Club León of Guanajuato (Mexico), where plays the ex Barcelona Rafa Márquez.
