José Mourinho remembers the 'intensity' of the rivalry between Barça and Madrid
José Mourinho lived on the bench during the period of greatest rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Portuguese has recently commented on how he lived those years at the head of the merengue team
José Mourinho has been the last protagonist of the podcast 'Five' of Rio Ferdinand, in which it has reviewed all his actuality after abandoning the Rome. It has had the opportunity to speak of his stage in the Real Madrid, between 2010 and 2013, in which it gave back the titles to the vitrinas of Santiago Bernabéu and starred the one who has been, probably, the elder 'rivalry' in the history against the FC Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola turned into his worst 'enemy' in the world of the football and was when it intensified the debate between Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, those who year after years starred 'wars' to turn into the maxima goleadores of Europe. The trainer luso has confessed that they were years very intense and that his aim was to change the perspective that the Barça was the best team of the world.
'The Special One' Has commented, in concrete, that "these three years in Real Madrid were years of an enormous rivalry with Barcelona, maybe in this moment here was the best Christian, the best Messi, Barcelona the best team of the world and Real Madrid trying change this perspective", adding that "in this period the world stopped for Barcelona-Real and Real-Barcelona, the world detained and feel this".
The rivalry and the 'torment' of Cristiano Ronaldo
In this same order of ideas, Mourinho has recognised that the competition was maximum: "A season Barcelona wins, the another wins Madrid, was beautiful, but if it could say by the intensity in each level was perhaps here", taking advantage of also to speak on Cristiano and his competitiveness when they coincided in the Real Madrid.
"There are players like Cristiano, that even playing against the Raise and winning 5-0, say them that they relax and rest and do not want to", aiming that "it said me 'No, no, no, can mark another goal more!'.
