Real Madrid seems resigned to finding a team for Arda Güler. The Turkish midfielder has played a minimal role in Carlo Ancelotti's plans during his second season in Spain and could continue his career in the Bundesliga. The latest rumors point to RB Leipzig as the main interested party in signing him for the 2024/25 season.

Marco Rose's team is sixth in their league, just three points behind the fourth place currently held by Eintracht Frankfurt (42). Leipzig had a forgettable league phase this season (winning only one of their seven matches) and hopes to strengthen all their lines next summer to compete alongside the European giants again.

In this sense, Güler would be one of the star signings requested by Rose, understanding that Madrid will not count on the Turkish winger next season, regardless of whether Ancelotti stays or not at the helm of the team. Arda has barely had minutes in three of the nine league matches played by 'La Casa Blanca' this year. In the Champions League, he has also not had much prominence (he was only a starter in the loss against Liverpool, 2-0).

Arda Güler, condemned to ostracism at Real Madrid

The Copa del Rey has been, so far, the only tournament in which he has had regularity. However, his attitude in the first semifinal against Real Sociedad (0-1), where he had little participation in the 'merengue' attack, seems to have sealed his exit this year. Madrid paid 20 million euros net to Fenerbahce plus another 10 'kilos' in variables to 'steal' the Turkish midfielder from FC Barcelona.

However, Arda's time at Santiago Bernabéu has been a total failure. After a first season marked by injuries, in his second year the player has been completely frustrated due to the few minutes that 'Carletto' grants him. Still, his stats are not entirely bad (9 goals and 5 assists in 42 matches). Will the Bundesliga be his salvation? We will have to wait until July and August to see if the whites accept to loan him or not.
