A new era at Barça: The first joy of many for the Catalans

If there is somebody that has celebrated the title of the Supercopa of Spain to the same level that the players, has been Joan Laporta. Only he and his team of directors know how much work has existed in the last year and half so that the FC Barcelona go back to win a trophy, after they were many the disappointments on the way route.

The effort of the Catalan lawyer, in the beginning of his second stage like president of the Barça, has been titanic and now is convinced that they will collect more fruits of the work made. Like this it has left it clear in the celebration from Saudi Arabia after achieving a title that gives back the illusion to the barcelonistas and that, definitely, will fill them of confidence.

"It is my second title, the first of Xavi. It is a generation of extraordinary players and directed by a trainer that is a wonder", has said Laporta, that finish surrendering in front of the trainer culé: "Has knowledges, personality, a style to play to the football that the Barça shows and express us of this way. It is one of the artífices of this genuine form to play to the football".

It has left clear that it is a moment very special for all the Barça, from the Managerial Board until the players, place is the confirmation that they are achieving good results after all the investment in the summer: "it Is special, because it is important, is a Supercopa and happinesses to the Federation for organising a big Supercopa, have felt us all very proud to belong to the Federation. And it is special for the culés, because we said that we went to give back the joy to the fans".

Laporta, as it had done it Xavi in room of press, undid in praises to Gavi, the one who was chosen like the 'MVP' of the night after marking a goal and deliver two assistances: "it Has marked a golazo, has given the others two goals and deserves the honour to be the MVP, but the Barça has played to a big level, directed by a big trainer that is Xavi Hernández".

Words for the Madrid

On the eternal rival, Joan Laporta has been very diplomatic and respectful, aiming that "the Real Madrid has been a worthy rival, know to be in the victory and in the defeat and are very elegant. Florentino has had some beautiful words with Busquets". It is not a secret for anybody that both presidents save a big relation and that have finished being 'allied'. The enmity remains in the field.
