The FC Barcelona has remained without his signing prioritario of face to the present season: the one of Eric García. The Barcelona club, with fault of effective in the central axis of his defence, had centred all his efforts in hiring to the young player of the Manchester City, that finish agreement with the English club in less than a year. Nevertheless, they broke the negotiations between the club culé and the 'cityzen'.
The agreement of Eric García with the Manchester City finishes in June of 2021 -in less than a year- and the young Catalan defence already had communicated that it would not renew with the English group. It is thus that from the FC Barcelona expected that the 'cityzen' saw forced to sell him to an affordable price, facilitating his arrival to the Camp Nou in this same market, but has not been like this.
Eric García, a star in power
The FC Barcelona has made until four offers by Eric García, but the Manchester City has refused them all. The central of 19 years, that wished to go back to dress of Barcelona after forming in the Masia, had pactado his disembarkment to the Camp Nou but the differences showed by the Catalan club and the English have postponed the return of the son pródigo.
In the market of traspasos of January, the FC Barcelona could do a new attempt to carry to Eric García, since the Manchester City will have still less margin of manoeuvre to sell him before losing him free. Problem in the central axis
From the past season, the FC Barcelona comes dragging problems in the central axis of his defence. Gerard Hammered and Clément Lenglet carry time being indisputable headlines in the axis of the defence and, in spite of some altibajos or disastrous parties like the one of the Bayern of Munich, are considered footballers of confidence of face to face the present campaign. The problem is the reduced number of alternatives.
Ronald Koeman knows that the French and the Catalan will go back to be the couple title in the central axis of the defence, but also knows that has a problem of effective in said demarcation. Samuél Umtiti, that was the third in discord, drags physical problems that have diminished a lot his performance from 2018, whereas Jean-Clair Todibo did not fit neither to trial of Ernesto Valverde neither of the hero of Wembley. With Eric García descartado, Ronald Araújo will be the only reliable option.
