At least 3 English teams are keeping an eye on Ansu Fati's future. The Barça winger could help the club's finances if he continues his good form with Monaco

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Ansu Fati's great start to the season has not gone unnoticed in Europe. The player from Bisáu has 6 goals in 5 matches with Monaco and, at least, 3 Premier League teams are interested in the FC Barcelona winger, who could stay permanently in the Principality in exchange for 11 million euros.

Barça closed his one-year loan, without a mandatory purchase option, but not before renewing him until 2028. Ansu had a difficult preseason, requiring more time to return to his best physical level, but once he debuted with the French side, he performed at a very high level.

Fati debuted in Ligue 1 with a brace against Metz and, later, scored again against Lorient and made a pair of goals against Nice. Since 1948, a player had not reached 5 goals in the French league so quickly (it only took him 126 minutes). In addition, he also scored in the Champions League against Bruges.

At Least Three English Clubs Want Ansu Fati: Will Barça Be Able to Sell Him?

In that regard, the latest reports indicate interest from Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Everton in the 22-year-old forward. Ansu has a contract with Monaco until the end of the season, but an offer from the Principality team or any other team to Barça to finalize his permanent transfer in the next winter market is not ruled out.

This, of course, is provided that the Barça youth player manages to maintain the performance of his first full month with the Monegasque team. Physical problems have been the bane of the Bissau native's existence for the last five years, so everything depends on staying healthy and mentally focused.

One of the factors that could threaten his good form in France has to do with the dismissal of coach Adi Hütter. The Austrian was surprisingly sacked last weekend and the Belgian Sébastien Pocognoli will replace him starting this week.

Ansu only started in 2 of the 5 matches he has played so far and needs the full confidence of the coaching staff to continue performing at his best. Barça, meanwhile, awaits the resolution of his future, as the winger is not in Hansi Flick's plans and his salary is a burden for the club. Not in vain, he had to be renewed to defer part of his fee.

The Premier League Could Give Ansu a New Shot

If the interest of any of the aforementioned English clubs is confirmed, Ansu Fati would have a second chance to try to revive his career in the Premier League. In 2023, the forward went on loan to Brighton, but completed a rather poor season as a result of his physical problems and the lack of confidence from the Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The former '10' of Barcelona played a total of 27 matches (994 minutes) in the 23/24 season, adding 4 goals and 1 assist in his first experience abroad. In his first month of action in Monaco, the Spanish international already surpassed his offensive production from the last two seasons, since the previous year, with the "culés", he did not add any goals or assists in just 11 appearances.
