The board of directors of FC Barcelona remains attentive to the main stars of the future of South American football. One of the players that the azulgrana team has been following for several weeks is Zé Lucas, a 17-year-old midfielder who is aiming to make the leap to Europe next season.
The Pernambuco native is already an undisputed starter with Sport Recife in the Brasileirao, where he has already played a total of eight matches. The youngster is a natural pivot, but he can also play as an inside player leaning towards his left to enhance his most skillful leg (the right).

Despite Barça's 'no', Sport Recife is considering other alternatives for its young figure, who dreams of playing in Spain in 2025. The midfielder will turn 18 next March and the board of his club hopes to meet soon with emissaries from Betis and Sevilla.
