Roger Martínez will arrive at Barça from Espanyol after the termination of his contract. Last season he played on loan at Deportivo Lugo

The sports management of FC Barcelona, headed by Deco, found another talent in Catalan territory. In this sense, after 'fishing' Joan García from Espanyol, the next player who is close to joining the Blaugrana team is Roger Martínez, also from the 'Perico' team.

According to recent information, the midfielder disassociated himself from the 'Blanquiazul' team a few days ago and the Blaugrana team already has him tied down to join the Barça Atlètic discipline, it only remains for the club to make it official.

At the time of the incorporation, the player will have great memories of his former team, since with the Blaugrana subsidiary he will face the next season in the Second Federation, where he will coincide with Espanyol B in Group 3, duels that are always full of emotion.

The player will leave the 'Perico' team after seven years, since after returning from his loan with Club Deportivo Lugo of Primera RFEF, they informed him that they do not have his services, giving way to the termination of his contract that was agreed until 2026.

The midfielder had a 2024/25 season with good regularity, as in Lugo he was able to participate in 35 matches (28 as a starter). However, he was only able to convert 1 goal and assist on 2 occasions.
