Bayern wants Rafa Leao, but the Portuguese prefers Barça!

Bayern Munich will go for Rafael Leao after Florian Wirtz's 'no'. However, the Milan winger insists on waiting for an offer from Barça that looks increasingly distant
Rafael Leao does not want to continue at AC Milan next season. The 'rossoneri' team was left out of Europe for 25/26 and the 25-year-old winger has several clubs after him. The latest, Bayern Munich, joins Chelsea and FC Barcelona on the list of possible destinations for the Portuguese international.
The latest information in Germany points to Milan's '10' as the winger chosen by the Bavarians after the fiasco of the negotiation for Florian Wirtz. The Munich team is preparing to lose Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman this summer and needs to incorporate a player with the characteristics of the Portuguese.
However, the magazine 'Kicker' assures that the negotiations between Bayern and the Lombard team are just beginning and those of Vicent Kompany do not intend to satisfy the Italian economic aspirations, although Leao has a contract until 2028. In addition, the player insists on waiting as long as possible for an offer from Barcelona.

Beyond the Portuguese's position, Barça has almost completely ruled out his incorporation this summer. The reason has to do, fundamentally, with its price, since Milan insists on negotiating a transfer for the order of 90-100 million euros.
The Almada native is listed for around 75 'kilos' in Transfermarkt, although his second half of the season was very poor. In total, the '10' of the Lombard team added 12 goals and 13 assists in 50 games (3,499 minutes), but closed the season without titles.
In addition, the coaching staff does not see clearly the incorporation of a player with a difficult character to manage. Rafa had problems with the last 'rossoneri' coaches (mainly with Paulo Fonseca) and, in Barcelona, he would arrive to be a substitute for Raphinha.
Even so, Leao insists to his agent, Jorge Mendes, on doing everything possible to take him to Barça. Joan Laporta agreed with his signing, although contacts between the parties cooled in recent months.

On the other hand, for Barça, although there is still not enough money in the bank to amortize transfers or the green light from LaLiga regarding rule 1:1, there is absolute tranquility regarding the market. The azulgrana team, at this moment, is still at a disadvantage to negotiate directly with other clubs.
However, the prestige and good present of the Catalans gives the club an advantage when contacting any possible reinforcement. In the case of the left wingers on the culé radar, like Rafa Leao, Marcus Rashford and Luis Díaz prioritize an offer from Barça this summer.
Hence, although it is likely that the board will fully enter the market well into the month of July, the club will be able to choose the alternatives that best fit the squad and the wage bill. Deco already anticipated the arrival of at least two reinforcements, but there is still plenty of time to sign.
