What was an open secret becomes reality in this transfer market. Benjamin Šeško leaves aside Newcastle United and is close to becoming the new star signing of Manchester United. The player, who was on FC Barcelona's radar, is already traveling to England to sign with the Old Trafford team.

The news was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, who pointed out that the 'reds devils' reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to take the center forward in exchange for 76.5 million euros, plus 8.5 in variables.

The player will sign a contract that will keep him linked to United until the summer of 2030. The team led by Rúben Amorim would be planning to present the player on Saturday, while he is expected to stamp his signature on the contract on Friday.

In this way, Manchester gets the services of a player who is only 22 years old and is already shaping up to become one of the most decisive attackers in Europe.

With Šeško, Manchester United completes a millionaire trident

Benjamin Šeško comes from scoring 21 goals in 45 games in the 2024/25 season, in addition to distributing 6 assists. The center forward, in principle, will compete for the title in the center of the attack with Bryan Mbeumo, who in recent days has been singled out for his physique.

It should be remembered that United signed Mbeumo in exchange for 75 'kilos', from Brentford; in addition, before these last two incorporations, they had already added Matheus Cunha for 74.20 million euros.

The Frenchman arrived at Old Trafford after last season scoring 20 goals and assisting on 9 occasions in 42 matches, while the Brazilian beat the nets on 17 occasions, in addition to assisting 6 times.

In this sense, it is important to note that Šeško still has better scoring records than Mbeumo or Cunha, since in the 2023/24 season he scored 18 goals, unlike the new 10 of the 'reds devils', who scored 14, or the Gaul, who scored just 9 goals.

Although the Slovenian player aroused interest in the sports management of the azulgrana team, it seems that he was never among the priority objectives of the Catalan team.
