The list of teams interested in Marc Casadó continues to grow. However, the midfielder has no doubts about his future in Barcelona, although he will not be an undisputed starter in 25/26
Marc Casadó will have to work hard to become a starter again with Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona. The great end to the season of Frenkie de Jong and his imminent renewal, together with the return of Marc Bernal to the squad after the serious injury suffered in August, put the prominence of Sant Pere de Vilamajor in doubt.
The '17' closed the 24/25 season with 36 matches (29 as a starter) in which he totaled 2,447 minutes of action, with one goal and six assists despite missing the last two months of the season due to injury. In that sense, there are several teams interested in signing him, but Marc does not plan to leave Barça this year.
Mainly because he has the confidence of Hansi Flick to alternate the starting position with De Jong as a defensive pivot, pending Bernal's performance after his return to action. The player from Berga started the previous year as a starter, but after being injured in Vallecas, all the responsibility fell on Casadó. In addition, the player is very loved by the fans and the dressing room.
The Premier League is looking for Casadó ¡and Barça puts a price on his departure!
During the first half of 24/25, the 21-year-old player was the ideal partner for Pedri González in midfield. Afterwards, Frenkie returned to his physical fullness and regained his position from January onwards. This scenario opens the door for several clubs to ask about the '17' and Barça, given the need to raise funds, does not rule out a transfer.
The latest information points to Chelsea as the main candidate for Casadó. According to 'SPORT', the Blaugrana team would not look unfavorably on a sale in the order of 50 million euros, an affordable amount for the 'blue' checkbook. Manchester United and Liverpool also have him on their radar, but for now there is no formal offer for the youth player.
Outside of England, Naples and Bayer Leverkusen are also rumored as possible destinations for Marc. The midfielder has already been called up by Luis de la Fuente in Spain, but needs to be a protagonist next season to enter the list for the 2026 World Cup.
Atlético, the last to join the 'race' for Marc Casadó
In LaLiga, Atlético is also very attentive to Casadó's future. Diego Simeone prioritizes incorporating a defensive midfielder and, pending whether or not he manages to recover Thomas Partey in the coming weeks, the Culé youth player is a viable alternative for the 'colchoneros'.
In principle, 'Aleti' could offer around 25 million for Marc, although the most viable option would be a loan. The midfielder has a contract until 2028 and his termination clause remains at 100 'kilos', 70 M€ above his current market value.
At the moment, his renewal is not a priority, but it is not ruled out either, far from it. The club's idea is to sign a new link until 2030, probably with an adjustment in his termination clause to raise it to 500 M€.
