Ferran Jutglà returns to LaLiga with Celta. This Tuesday, the Vigo team presented the former forward of FC Barcelona as a reinforcement for the 25/26 season, after closing an agreement with Bruges for 5 million euros. The attacker signed for five seasons, until June 2029, after three seasons with the Belgian team.
The player from Sant Julià de Vilatorta arrived in Bruges in 2022 for the same amount, after a season with the Barça first team where he scored a couple of goals in 9 matches. Previously, Ferran scored 19 goals in 32 appearances with the Barça B team.
Now, Ferran Jutglà joins Claudio Giráldez's team, which will play in the Europa League in the 25/26 season. During his time at Bruges, the Catalan attacker scored 40 goals in 148 matches in which he also added 24 assists. The player arrived at Barça for free in 2021 and, finally, has left a little more than 5 'kilos' in the coffers of the 'culés'.
The total amount that Barça will receive thanks to Ferran Jutglà
In total, Celta must pay a 'pinch' of 50,000 euros for the transfer of Ferran, since the 'azulgrana' team reserved 10% of the capital gain from a future sale after selling him to Bruges.
In addition, the Galician team must also pay another 600,000 euros to the 'culés' coffers for the signing of Ilaix Moriba. Barça also retained 10% of the sporting rights of the Guinean, who finally left RP Leipzig after five years in which he was loaned to Valencia, Getafe and Celta itself.
In the case of Jutglà, Barça expected to receive around 200,000 euros for his arrival at Balaídos, but finally the amount is less because the transfer was closed for a couple of 'kilos' less than estimated.
In addition to Celta, several LaLiga clubs were very interested in signing him, including Valencia, Real Sociedad, Villarreal and Espanyol itself. However, the Galicians anticipated by paying the money into Bruges' account.
Ferran Jutglà, confident in doing a great job with Celta
"Being away for three years has been a very enriching experience. I have grown a lot as a person. But I really wanted to come back and when the opportunity with Celta arose, I didn't hesitate," commented the Catalan striker during his presentation with the 'celeste' team.
In addition, he expressed his excitement to help those from Vigo have a good season in LaLiga and Europe. "Celta plays a very offensive, cheerful football, with all the players committed in defense. I think I can fit in very well in the team and play a great role," added Ferran.
