Mbappé's salary causes Vinicius to demand more, creating tension at Madrid.
At the Real Madrid, not everything is as it seems; a clear example is the current difficulty in signing the renewal of their left winger, Vinicius Junior, who intends to earn more than the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé. Vinicius' last contract with the white team was extended in 2023 until June 2027. The Brazilian has reportedly received a very lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, and now he can pressure the management of the merengue team to meet his demands and match Mbappé's salary.
According to various sources, the Brazilian player currently earns 15 million net per season, but believes he deserves that amount to rise to 20, which is 5 million more. The problem arises because Real Madrid has no intention of breaking its salary scale, and their number 9 'Kiki' receives 19 million, something that Vinicius Jr is not pleased with, especially considering that until last season he was the star of the white team.
“I trust everyone at this club, who helped me so much and did everything for me. And I am here to do everything for them,” declared the forward before the Champions match against Atlético de Madrid. However, his statements do not align with his actions and demands.
Bellingham, another inconvenience for Madrid
According to Sport, the English player earns less than 10 million annually, much less than Vinicius and Mbappé, and Jude also desires a salary increase as recognition for his contributions to the team since his arrival in the summer of 2023.
Now, Real Madrid will have to decide what to do to keep all its stars happy, without breaking the salary scale and without neglecting that they are still fighting for all competitions, despite showing a less appealing style of play and a crisis in results in La Liga, where Barcelona and Atlético have relegated them to third place in the standings.
