FC Barcelona has yet to resolve the issue of Dani Olmo's registration. However, the man from Terrassa maintains his confidence in the club for the future

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Dani Olmo is one of the players that FC Barcelona could only register until the end of the year. Although the board is confident that his case and other pending files will be resolved before December 31, despite the signing of the new contract with Nike, the club still does not release enough 'Fair Play' to resolve these operations. However, the Terrassa native has no doubts about his future at Barça, a club with which he signed for six seasons, until June 2030.

"I have blind faith in the club, they know what they have to do and I only dedicate myself to playing. Now I can and I'm sure that when January comes, too. I'm not worried, I have one hundred percent confidence in Barça," explained the Barça '20' in an interview for the 'Tot costa' program on Catalunya Ràdio.

In this regard, Dani said that he was always clear that Barcelona was his best option for the future once he decided to leave RB Leipzig. For the Catalan midfielder, the most important thing was the certainty of having a competitive team, capable of fighting for everything. "Deco gave me a confidence that no one had given me before. The objective is maximum," he explained.

Olmo jokes about Lewandowski's disallowed goal and criticizes himself for the defeat at Anoeta

On the other hand, Olmo referred to what happened last Sunday against Real Sociedad. The 26-year-old player did not hesitate to criticise the team's performance. "We were not sharp at Anoeta, we have to improve, but there is still a lot of season left," said the player from Terrassa.

He also joked about the controversial goal disallowed by Robert Lewandowski in the first half. "I think he wears a number 43," he said, laughing about the image of the Pole's foot in the semi-automatic VAR. However, he avoided attributing the defeat to that particular action. "Offside is not an excuse. If it is a mistake it would be big, but it is not an excuse; we did not shoot at goal and we have to continue improving," he pointed out.

Dani also praised the work done by Hansi Flick, whose message has been very well received by the team, beyond his high demands in each training session. "The squad is understanding it perfectly. At the moment it seems that he is not doing anything wrong, everything is going very well. We are all working together," he concluded, referring to the German coach.
