Ferran Torres is one of the players who could bring the most money into FC Barcelona's coffers in the upcoming market. Despite never having enjoyed undisputed starting status, the '7' is not willing to leave.
The FC Barcelona board does not rule out a market surprise with Ferran Torres next summer. Although the board will not force the departure of any players who have the trust of Hansi Flick, the 'Shark' is one of the pieces that can bring the best dividends to the club's coffers in the next transfer window, whether through a direct transfer or as part of another major operation.
In the Premier League, clubs like Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Aston Villa have him in their sights and would be willing to put around 30 million euros to sign him. Even Arsenal is ready to enter the bidding for the Valencian, as Mikel Arteta considers him a forward with youth and talent enough to shine in English football, where he has experience from his time at Manchester City (he played 46 matches between 2020 and 2022).
Outside of England, the Italian Serie A would also be an interesting destination for Ferran. AC Milan and Napoli are also closely monitoring his future, although, in the case of the 'rossoneri', there was already a door slammed by the '7' from Barcelona last winter market. However, while Barça views his transfer positively for around 35-40 million euros (the club paid 55M € for him in 2022), the player will have the final say on his future.
Ferran Torres is not thinking about anything other than succeeding in Barcelona
And beyond the market rumors linked to his departure, the 'Shark' remains focused on taking advantage of every opportunity with Hansi Flick's team. His contract expires in 2027 and, having a high release clause (1 billion €), his future will not be at risk as long as he chooses to dismiss offers. "I want to make, as I say, useful minutes. It’s not easy because many times when you come on, the game is not favorable, but I don’t feel like a substitute,” he commented in an interview with 'MARCA'.
In that sense, he made clear what he considers to be his role in the blue and garnet team. "I face every situation in the best possible way. I don’t see myself as a game-changer. I try to do the job when I’m on the field,” Ferran pointed out. Thus, the club will continue to monitor offers that may come in for the '7' in the coming weeks. However, the forward will have total control over his future, and if he insists on staying, both the board and the coaching staff will respect his decision. In 141 official matches, the player from Foios has scored 36 goals and provided 16 assists as a Barça player.
