The 'pearls' of Barça that could shine in Andorra thanks to Piqué

Barça continues to find market alternatives to raise funds this summer. The latest rumors point to Andorra, owned by Gerard Piqué, being interested in two Barça 'pearls'.

Barça Atlètic will continue to suffer losses after their relegation to Segunda RFEF. Sergi Milà's team will have to compete in the fourth tier of Spanish football without several of their key players from the previous season, including Antonio 'Toni' and Guillermo 'Guille' Fernández.

According to 'SPORT', the cousins formed in La Masia are on the radar of Andorra, a club of which Gerard Piqué is the majority shareholder, and is very interested in signing the 16 and 17-year-old players, respectively.

Both have a contract until 2027 and could make the leap to the Spanish Second Division (LaLiga Hypermotion) through a loan, as the players' release price is around 20 million euros after their last renewal. The team from the Principality will compete in the silver category in 25/26 and also wants the culé goalkeeper Aron Yaakobishvili, 'Yako'.

Andorra, an ideal destination for Toni and Guille Fernández?

In the case of Toni and Guille, the most likely thing is that the club will take the opportunity to send them to a team where they can develop their promising talent. The former is a right winger/attacking midfielder and already has 8 goals in 23 appearances with the culé subsidiary and one match with the first team.

The latter, pivot/midfielder, has also stood out with Barça Atlètic, scoring 7 goals in 40 appearances. Although he has not debuted with Hansi Flick's team, he did see action with the U-19 team in the UEFA Youth League (he played 3 matches).

The Fernández are two of the most interesting 'pearls' to emerge from La Masia and, in Andorra, they would find a favorable place to exploit their talent. Recently, players such as Álex Valle and Mika Mármol have made a stop there before settling in the elite.

Now, with Ibai Gómez on the bench, the team hopes to meet the objective of maintaining the category in 25/26. For the moment, Toni and Guille are listed in the order of 3 million euros in Transfermarkt.

The midfielder will reach the age of majority in June 2026, while the winger is preparing this week to celebrate his 17th birthday (on July 15). In that sense, the cousins are only a month apart and maintain a very similar progression despite occupying different positions on the field.
