Héctor Fort, in the sights of a big Premier League club: Who is he?

Several players of FC Barcelona know perfectly well that they have no place in the first team squad for the 2025/26 season. In that sense, one of them is Héctor Fort, who has been aware of his situation practically since the end of last season.  

The right-back is a player highly valued by coach Hansi Flick. However, both the sports management and the coaching staff consider that he still lacks maturity in his game and the best thing is for him to leave on loan to get minutes.

Thus, considering this, several clubs see Fort as a 'pearl' to take advantage of, and already from the Premier League, specifically Aston Villa, managed by Unai Emery, has shown interest in acquiring the services of the 19-year-old winger, according to Fabrizio Romano.

However, talks for a possible arrival of Héctor to 'the Villains' are only in initial stages. The '32', apart from playing as a right-back, can also do so on the left side.

In this context, Aston Villa is not the only team that has inquired about the situation of the '32', as both Borussia Dortmund, Paris FC and RCD Mallorca would also have shown interest in Fort.

Even the 'black and yellows' see him as an outstanding bet for the future, as they consider that he has enough potential to succeed in Germany. However, negotiations were not in advanced stages, but the player likes the destination.

Regarding the French team and the 'vermellón' team, the player is also aware of the interest, although, apparently, he is not convinced to land in Son Moix. Despite this, the player would be evaluating any proposal, as he wants to have guaranteed minutes.

It is worth remembering that a possible operation related to Aston could be favored by a key detail. And it is that Emery and Héctor Fort share a representation agency, a link that could pave the way for negotiations.

Barça wants to maintain control over Héctor Fort in the face of European interest

The Blaugrana team does not want to lose control over the '32', as, like the clubs interested in him, they also consider that he has great potential that, if exploited in the best way, could open a gap for him in the future in the first team of Barça.

However, for now, both Jules Koundé and Eric García are the ones who will take charge of the right-back. That is why the Catalan team would be willing to assess flexible formulas for the departure of Héctor Fort, including simple loans and transfers, but with conditions. 

In the latter case, the club would prioritize maintaining a significant percentage of the player's rights, as well as a repurchase option, following the strategy that it has recently applied with other young promises who have left the Blaugrana discipline.
