Neymar has already decided on his immediate future: his entourage clears up doubts and clarifies where he wants to play for the rest of the year
Neymar Jr. will continue wearing the Santos jersey, at least that is what the former FC Barcelona player and his entourage have planned. This was hinted at by his father, Neymar Santos Sr., who admitted that the '10' of the 'Peixe' wants to continue with the Vila Belmiro team.
"We want our 'Menino da Vila' to stay here longer. I am trying to do everything possible so that he can be part of this reconstruction. Marcelo Teixeira (president of Santos) gives me a lot of work, look at that hand in his pocket, he doesn't take it out," he declared with a laugh during an event at the 'Peixe' training center.

The speculations surrounding the return of 'Ney' to Vila Belmiro
It should be remembered that, at the time of Neymar Jr.'s arrival at Santos, last January 31, speculations soon arose. It was said that the left winger would use the Brazilian team as a kind of 'stepping stone' to relaunch his career.
The rumors intensified when it became known that the striker's link with the club was only until June 30. That is, just six months.
Neymar Sr. also referred to this situation, admitting that Santos is the ideal team for his son to recover his best version as a player:
"I want him to stay. Santos opened the doors for Neymar to recover. We knew he needed to play, have minutes, that he would suffer these micro-injuries. We knew it would happen. Our job was to concentrate on Neymar, on his mind. We know his dream, we know where he wants to go," he pointed out.
Neymar and Santos: a discreet return marked by injuries
However, the player from Mogi das Cruzes, far from showing his best level, has not had it easy. Although he has three goals and three assists in 14 matches, he has not yet managed to shine as in his best times. He has even missed eight games due to a couple of injuries in his left thigh.
These ailments, as his father explained, were key for Neymar to prioritize staying in Brazilian football, a more familiar and calm environment for his recovery process:
"We have had offers from other clubs, but we did not accept because we want to use the (transfer) window for him to recover. The next six months will be important. Neymar lives here, he is happy, he is close to his friends and family. Santos is the right environment for him."
What will happen to 'Ney' in the next market?
For the moment, it is expected that the future of Neymar Jr. will remain at Santos, at least until the end of the year. However, these statements open the door to a possible change of destination in the 2025/26 winter market.
It is worth remembering that one of the teams interested in acquiring his services this summer was Fluminense, which would have sounded out the player with the intention of adding him to its squad for the 2025 Club World Cup. However, this option has not motivated Neymar, as confirmed by the president of the 'carioca' club, Mário Bittencourt, who, in the Setor Sul podcast, acknowledged that the striker prioritizes his physical recovery.
Will Neymar change clubs for next season? And if so, will he return to Europe, continue in South America or land in another destination such as North America? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, 'Ney' will continue at 'Peixe' trying to give his career a second wind.
