OFFICIAL: Noah Darvich returns to Germany with Stuttgart

FC Barcelona and Stuttgart closed this Tuesday the transfer of Noah Darvich. The midfielder of the subsidiary could not earn a place in the first team and, although he had one more year of contract, he finally chose to return to his country.

The German also failed to be undisputed in his two seasons at Barça Atlètic and, with the relegation of the Barça subsidiary to the Second RFEF, his departure was sung. Finally, the Freiburg native will try to establish himself in the elite with a team that, in 25/26, will not compete in European competitions.

How much does Barça receive for the transfer of Noah Darvich?

Although Barça has not revealed the figures of the transfer, 'Kicker' assures that the agreement was closed for a figure lower than one million euros (around 800,000 €). However, the variables of the transfer may increase this amount in the coming years.

Noah signed for four seasons, until June 2029, stating that he was "happy to return to Germany and be able to play in the Bundesliga". The 18-year-old midfielder left the Freiburg youth academy in 2023 for Barcelona without making his debut with the first team.

The 'culés' paid 2.5 'kilos' for his transfer, setting his termination clause at 1,000 M€. However, the player did not make the expected leap in quality and, despite the arrival of Hansi Flick in 24/25, he could not improve his chances of even regularly entering calls for League or Cup matches.

Noah Darvich, a failed bet for Barça

In total, Darvich played 46 official matches with the Barça subsidiary, adding 1 goal and 4 assists in the Primera RFEF. Last season, he only entered the squad for the duels against Celta (2-2) and Valladolid (1-2), without adding official minutes in the League.

For Champions League, he was also on the bench in the second leg of the semi-finals against Inter Milan (4-3), while in 23/24 Xavi Hernández did not take him into account for any first team match. 

Noah Darvich arrived in Barcelona at just 16 years old as one of the most promising midfielders in German football. His speed in one-on-ones, powerful hitting and ease to step into the area generated excitement in the subsidiary after his arrival. But the adaptation to Spanish football was not positive and, now, the Freiburg native will try to relaunch his career in the Bundesliga.
