Pau Víctor is a definite discard for Barça this summer. However, the 23-year-old striker has not yet received a formal offer to change scenery in 25/26. What will his future be?
The FC Barcelona has not yet resolved the departure of Pau Víctor. For the club, although it is not a priority operation, the ideal is to promptly release its fixed discards, although the case of the player from San Cugat del Vallés is the least urgent as far as forwards are concerned.
Barça prioritizes resolving the loan of Ansu Fati first, whose negotiation with Monaco seems to have stalled. As for offensive profile players, another definite departure is Pablo Torre, but the midfielder has paused negotiations while playing the U-21 Euro with Spain.

Betis and Girona are still not clear about the signing of Pau Víctor
For the moment, Betis and Girona have been the teams most interested in negotiating Pau's signing. However, Barça has not yet received a formal offer for a possible transfer or loan, as both clubs have quite complex financial realities.
Weeks ago, Valencia and Sevilla have also explored the incorporation of the Catalan striker, but they are not yet moving threads to negotiate with the azulgrana team. Barça's position, for now, is clear: Pau Víctor will go to the team he wants.
With the imminent arrival of Nico Williams and the option of adding another striker (Marcus Rashford), the '18' has no chance of staying. Even if Barça does not sign more strikers, the former captain of the reserve team has no place in Hansi Flick's plans.
In 24/25 he barely played 378 minutes in 29 games (2 as a starter) in which he added a couple of goals and an assist. In La Liga he was in the starting lineup against Osasuna and Valladolid, scoring a goal against the 'rojillos'. His other goal was against Mallorca, both in the first half of the season.
Barça prefers to negotiate a loan deal with Pau Víctor
For Barça, as he is a player with a low salary and an interesting projection, the simple loan route works without problem with Pau Víctor. The striker signed last summer until 2029 and his current market value is 4 million euros.
With a release clause of 100 'kilos', Barça prioritizes revaluing him before thinking about a definitive transfer. His signing was closed for €2.7M and the club is confident that, with the right confidence and continuity, the player from San Cugat del Vallés will be able to exploit his potential.
Pau scored 20 goals and 6 assists in 39 games with the azulgrana reserve team in 23/24. In addition, he scored a couple of goals in the 2024 preseason with Hansi Flick's team. The reason for his departure lies in the tough competition for a place in the culé attack and the need to free up space in the squad to register the reinforcements that may arrive this year.
