One of the greats of the Premier League is willing to go for the signing of Raphinha in the next summer market, having already prepared an offer for it
If there is a player who is having a truly stellar 2024-25 season, that is Raphinha, the forward of FC Barcelona. This is not mere talk. The Porto Alegre native has scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 30 matches with the Catalan team so far this season, marking his best campaign in his professional career.
'Rapha' has positioned himself as one of the most in-form players at the moment, setting a pace that, if maintained, would not be surprising to see him as one of the top candidates for the Ballon d'Or.
Given this situation, it is common for Raphinha to attract interest from various teams looking to strengthen their attack with a top-level player like him. In the past summer transfer window, the '11' was a clear candidate to leave the Catalan side, but now he seems to be firmly established in Hansi Flick's sporting project and is unlikely to leave Barça through a transfer, unless a sufficiently tempting proposal arrives for the Blaugrana to consider that option.
Manchester City wants to sign Raphinha in the upcoming summer transfer window
In this regard, it has been reported from England that a team from that country would be willing to make an important offer to sign Raphinha. According to the British media outlet 'TEAMTalk,' Manchester City would like to make an offer close to £84 million, almost €100 million, to secure the services of the forward in the next summer transfer window.
Furthermore, the mentioned source asserts that this signing has the backing of Pep Guardiola, provided that a couple of conditions are met: the departure must have the full approval of FC Barcelona and Raphinha must show interest in returning to play in English football, where he excelled during his time at Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United (17 goals, 12 assists in 67 matches).
Will Barça accept such an offer?
Now it remains to be seen if Manchester City, a team with several options in their attacking line, is willing to make a significant offer for Raphinha. In addition, it will be important to consider whether FC Barcelona, recognizing the value that Raphinha has brought to Hansi Flick's sporting project, chooses to sell him for an amount below that figure or demands a much higher sum.
Or perhaps Barcelona will prioritize the sporting aspect for a Raphinha who, based on his recent performances, will be extremely difficult to convince to leave the team from the Catalan capital. 'Rapha' has always shown his willingness to stay, demonstrating a deep love for the Blaugrana shirt, to which he is contractually bound until June 30, 2027.
