Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala's contracts with Bayern are close to expiring and their continuity at the Allianz Arena is a real question mark

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Bayern Munich are in a delicate situation with two of their most important figures, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala. The contracts of the two 'cracks' expire in 2025 and 2026, respectively, and they have not yet reached an agreement with the Bavarians to close their renewals, which is why speculation about their possible departures from the club has skyrocketed.

FC Barcelona is one of the teams that closely follows both figures and could benefit from the 'soap opera'. "I am in contact with the club," were the words of the German midfielder this Wednesday during a press conference at the concentration of the German national team in Frankfurt, where his future at the Allianz Arena was one of the main topics.

"We all know what my situation was like eight or ten weeks ago. I got the feeling that people were wondering when Kimmich would finally leave. Now things are different again. It's a very important decision in my career. It has to be well thought out. Of course the past plays a role. And the future too," he added, leaving his future more up in the air than ever.

Musiala's contract, a 'headache' for Bayern

For his part, and although his contract has two years left, Musiala keeps the Munich team in suspense, who see the 21-year-old attacking midfielder as their next star player. From the Allianz Arena they have set in motion the machinery to renew his contract as soon as possible, but the player continues to play a trick on his future.

"I can't say much about the contract issue. My focus is on the national team, but I'm happy in Munich," said Jamal from the 'Die Mannschaft' training camp. These words have alerted Barça, who are keeping a close eye on the soap operas of both stars, waiting to strike a blow with the signing of one of them if they finally decide to change teams.
