Marc Casadó is highly sought after in Europe. Barça, although needing to raise funds, respects the position of its players
Given the interest of several clubs at the European level and the 'Fair Play' financial problems, FC Barcelona does not close the doors to a possible departure of Marc Casadó that could benefit both parties in the final stretch of the summer market.
Teams like West Ham, Wolverhampton, and Chelsea are closely following the midfielder's future. However, although the club's board does not view the departure of any player before the market closes as an 'express' solution while awaiting the validation of the VIP boxes or a second guarantee, the club will not pressure the '17' for his departure.
Flick and Casadó's position: between the market and sports
However, Casadó, on several occasions, has ratified his desire to continue making history with the club and fight for a place in the starting XI. Hansi Flick has also publicly supported the player in the press conference before the Levante-Barça match.
“I have spoken with Marc. He doesn't want to leave, and I want him to stay. It will be a difficult season, and we need all the players we have now. He gives us confidence, and that's what I want. It's not easy for the coach, but we need all the players,” he assured.
The Barça coach, making his words count, included him in his lineup against Levante, preferring the '17' as a starter ahead of Gavi. Frenkie de Jong was out for the match due to the birth of his son.
Marc played 45 minutes in the match in Ciutat de Valencia, being replaced at halftime by Gavi, while in the match against Mallorca he did not see any minutes. Flick is still adjusting pieces at the beginning of the season and has had interesting rotations in midfield in the first few matchdays of LaLiga.

Fermín López started in the XI in Mallorca but stayed on the bench in Valencia. Dani Olmo, on the other hand, has entered in the second half of both matches. For now, Frenkie remains as Pedri's partner in midfield, but only the Canary Islander is 'untouchable'.
In that sense, Casadó's decision depends on the market and sports. At Barça, even if he is not a starter, he will have a leading role depending on his performance and aspires to win everything in 2026. In a league like the English one, he would earn more money and possibly arrive with more options to be a starter, provided that his adaptation is positive.
Barça will not force Marc Casadó's departure
Regardless of the financial problems and market rumors, the FC Barcelona board has ratified its commitment to respect the position of each player, which includes Marc Casadó, so they will only listen to offers after an explicit request to leave, as was the case with Iñigo Martínez and his move to Al-Nassr.
The coaching staff is also not interested in the departure of more players at the moment, they know that the season is long and the calendar demanding, and to compete at the highest level in all tournaments, they will need a large squad, with quality and replacement line by line, in each position.
The only departures expected from the club in the coming days are those of Iñaki Peña and Héctor Fort on loan due to the few opportunities they may have, along with that of Oriol Romeu, who is negotiating the termination of his contract after a year on loan at Girona.
