FC Barcelona could be receiving a transfer offer from a Premier League club for Vitor Roque

Calendar of FC Barcelona

At this moment, FC Barcelona seems to be interested in definitively parting ways with Vitor Roque, who arrived in the winter transfer market of the 2023-24 season as an exciting acquisition to strengthen the forward line. €31 million were invested in him, but he has not lived up to expectations.

After having few chances to play under the management of Xavi Hernández and failing to demonstrate his worth during the 2024-25 pre-season with Hansi Flick, he was loaned to Real Betis. It is also unlikely that he will be recalled, and efforts are being made to transfer him to recover the investment in a signing that has not been successful for the Catalan team.

At this point, it is clear that Vitor Roque will be part of FC Barcelona's departure operation, and there will be no shortage of teams interested in negotiating to acquire his services. Inevitably, Real Betis holds a significant advantage in this matter, as the Blaugrana loaned him to the Andalusian team for the 2024-25 season (with an option for one more season) with an optional purchase clause of €25 million for 80% of his rights.

Everton Wanted Vitor Roque

However, there are also other teams interested in Vitor Roque. In this context, as indicated by the 'Fichajes.net' website, 'Tigrinho', who has been having an interesting season at the 'verdiblanco' club, is also attracting interest from a Premier League team: Everton.

It is worth noting that the 'Toffees', now under the management of David Moyes following the dismissal of Sean Dyche, expressed interest in signing the forward during the 2024-25 summer transfer window. In fact, journalist Florian Plettenberg asserted at one point that Everton made a solid offer of €25 million plus three in variables, which was not considered by Barcelona, who at that time were asking between €30 and €35 million for him.

FC Barcelona closely follows 'Tigrinho's' situation

It remains to be seen how this potential operation unfolds, as no major details have been revealed. What is clear is that Barcelona will undoubtedly have more leverage than in the past to negotiate for Vitor Roque, who has shown glimpses of the quality he displayed in Brazilian football with Athletico Paranaense while with Betis, tallying seven goals and two assists in 26 appearances for the Seville-based team. This will allow the Catalan team to demand a financially appealing amount for the player.
