Barça Women have celebrated the League title with a fraternal meal. Laporta has encouraged the players to go for the two titles that remain this season: the UEFA Women's Champions League and the Copa de la Reina.
The first women's team of Fútbol Club Barcelona celebrated this Wednesday at noon a fraternal meal to celebrate the achievement of the title of the League F, secured last weekend after their victory against Real Betis (0-9).
The event, which served to reinforce the unity of the group at a key moment of the season, was attended by the president Joan Laporta, who congratulated the players and the coaching staff for the success and encouraged them to face with ambition the two great challenges that still remain in the calendar: the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League and the Copa de la Reina.
In addition to Laporta, the institutional meal was attended by the vice president Elena Fort, the director responsible for women's football, Xavi Puig, as well as the directors Aureli Mas and Xavier Barbany. Members of the sports commission, club leaders, the technical staff and the entire first women's team, which is experiencing a moment of splendor, also participated.
Barça Femení: going for the Champions League and the Cup
With the League and the Spanish Super Cup already in the bag, the blaugranas dream of repeating the poker of titles achieved last season. The next big challenge will be on Saturday, May 24 in Lisbon, where they will face Arsenal in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League. A duel that could mean the third continental crown for the Catalan club, after the titles obtained in 2021 and 2023.
Once the European event has been played, the team led by Jonatan Giráldez will focus on the final of the Copa de la Reina, scheduled for Saturday, June 7 in Huesca, where they will face Atlético de Madrid. If they conquer both titles, Barça Femenino would close a historic season with four trophies, further consolidating its hegemony in European football.
The celebration meal was also a symbolic act of gratitude and motivation for the decisive weeks ahead. The culé team, undefeated in the League and in full form, faces the final stretch with intact enthusiasm and the full support of the board.
