Frenkie de Jong was the first to face the press after the agonizing defeat of FC Barcelona against Paris Sait-Germain (1-2). Hansi Flick's team suffered their first defeat in the Champions League with a goal from Gonçalo Ramos in the 90th minute of a very even match where the 'culés' started winning.

"Very disappointed. If you concede in the last minute and lose, especially at home, you leave disappointed", the Dutchman began by saying in his post-match chat with 'Movistar+'.

The '21', although he was very secure with the ball, was booked in the first half for a hard stamp on Nuno Mendes in the 32nd minute. Despite being perceived early on, Flick kept him on the field for the entire match. In the final stretch, however, Frenkie felt the wear and tear.

In that sense, he commented: "I think they were better in the final phase and the second half in general. We started the match better. It has been a bit of a tit-for-tat, but it is true that, in the second half, they were better than us."

However, the player from Arkel valued the match against Paris to determine the level and moment of Barça in a tournament that is just beginning. "Today they won, but there is a lot left. Although it hurts to have lost, it is not decisive in this Champions League", added the 'azulgrana' captain.

Hansi Flick, for his part, also valued the effort of De Jong and Pedri in midfield to perform at their best in a very demanding match in the physical aspect. "I think in the second half you could see that some players were very tired. Pedri, Frenkie... but they have all given their maximum", argued the 'azulgrana' coach.

For the Dutch midfielder, Wednesday's match was his seventh match of the season, reaching 555 minutes of action. In five of his seven appearances, the 28-year-old player played the 90 minutes, with an assist against Oviedo (1-3).
