Like this it is the new format of the Glass of the King that could approve the Monday

It plans a radical change in the up to now employed format in the Glass of Rey. It expects that all the modifications planned by the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF), chaired by Luis Rubiales, are approved in an assembly that will celebrate the Monday and that will give a dump total to the competition.

In the new Glass of the King would participate the 20 teams of First Division (LaLiga Santander), the 22 of Second Division, the seven first qualifiers of each one of the fourth groups of Second Division B, the 18 champions of the groups of Third Division, the 14 better seconds of Third by coefficient of goals and 10 teams of Preferential.

All they will go out of different previous rounds before the dispute of the final phase of the competition, that would give beginning in January of the next year. The start of said phase would coincide with the dispute of the Supercopa of Spain (that, remember, also will have new format and could contest in Saudi Arabia), whose participants would happen the two first rounds directly.

The teams excentos of the next edition of the Glass of Rey (participants of the Supercopa) would be the FC Barcelona (like champion of LaLiga), the Athletic of Madrid (like Runner-up of LaLiga), Valencia (like finalist of Glass) and the Real Madrid (that it would happen to occupy the place of the Barça like finalist of Glass when being the semifinalist with better coefficient in the competition).

Besides, the parties of Glass of the King would contest to only party (in the stadium of the team of lower category), although with a conditioning: the teams of LaLiga will not be able to play parties in fields of artificial lawn, since it will require that it was natural, as it plays in the professional categories.

The Barcelona, in the final of 2019 against Valencia

All the changes announced would put in practice from the next season.
