Barça will seek to 'repeat' the round of 16 of the 2023 Cup to vindicate themselves
FC Barcelona has been paired with Unionistas de Salamanca in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. It could be a golden opportunity to regain the trust of the Blaugrana
The FC Barcelona has had 'luck' in the draw of the eighth of final of the Glass of the King 2023/2024. They had possibilities that it produced a Classical against the Real Madrid or clashes 'hot' in front of the Athletic of Madrid or the Girona, but the Barcelona have remained with the rival of lower category, the Unionistas of Salamanca. They come, this yes, of something heróico with the elimination to the Villarreal in batch of penaltis after having remained 1-1 in the statutory time and extention.
It is a team with 'soul' that will not leave the easy things to the ones of Xavi Hernández, but also is true that in the irregular dynamics of the blaugrana anybody can trust. Against the UD Barbastro also seemed a 'formality' and finished suffering more than the account, to the point that the marked finished extremely adjusted: 2-3 and the enésimo split without being able to win by more than a goal of difference. The blaugrana have credited to the suffering, without mattering the rival neither the competition.
Opportunity for the Barça
The pressure is all for the Barça, that has a lot for improving and show. Xavi Hernández has not achieved the formula so that his do not suffer so much in this season and of there that the 'unocerismo' and the results adjusted are the bread of each day. The Barça has to take a step forward
It is a party in which, in paper, the ones of Xavi Hernández would have to take out a goleada or, at least, a conclusive victory. But the magic of the tournament of the 'KO' always are able to surprise and the Barça has to step forward to improve his provision and offer an image that position him like one of the candidates to the title. In the Glass of the King does not be necessary to give at all by seated... And the blaugrana know it very well.
