Barça bids farewell to the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, breaking attendance and revenue records.
The Clásico of LaLiga 24/25 not only reaffirmed the great sporting moment that Football Club Barcelona is experiencing, but also the unconditional support of the 'culé' fanbase, who turned Montjuïc into a fortress with a record turnover, reaching a figure that would make even the most seasoned bankers blush: 13.8 million euros on a single match day.
A historic collection that not only breaks records but also shatters —with the same elegance with which a weak defense is broken— the old earnings of the mythical Camp Nou.
In addition to the economic success, the Barça-Madrid match also registered the highest attendance in the recent history of the Estadi Olímpic, with 50,319 spectators present in the stands of Lluís Companys.
The 'azulgrana' team continues to be one of the most powerful clubs in terms of attendance, but until now the temporary move to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys had meant a significant economic impact. Below, we review the attendance figures for the last two seasons.
Attendance at Montjuïc Stadium - Season 24-25 vs. Season 23-24
Since the 2023-24 season, Barça has been playing away from the Spotify Camp Nou, which is undergoing extensive remodeling. This move has limited the maximum capacity to just over 50,000 spectators, well below the more than 99,000 of the old stadium.
| ATTENDANCE | SEASON 24-25 | SEASON 23-24 |
| TOTAL ATTENDANCE | 1.291.271 | 983.566 |
| AVERAGE PER MATCH | 44.526 | 40.981 |
| LA LIGA AVERAGE | 45.460 | 39.843 |
| COPA DEL REY AVERAGE | 43.467 | X |
| CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AVERAGE | 47.377 | 45.308 |
Despite the constant support from the fanbase, with remarkable figures like the 50,319 attendees of the Clásico against Real Madrid, Barça has stopped earning millions in 'ticketing'.
According to Eduard Romeu, former economic vice-president, losses in that area exceed 100 million euros, also considering the drop in income from the Barça Store and the club's Museum.

Attendance at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys - Season 2024-25
The Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys experienced a historic day on the occasion of the Clásico between Football Club Barcelona and Real Madrid. The match was not only decisive in sporting terms, with a 4-3 victory that brought the 'azulgranas' closer to the league title, but it also left historic attendance figures in the stands: 50,319 spectators attended the match, setting a new attendance record at Montjuïc since the temporary move due to the Camp Nou construction.
This figure surpasses the previous record of 50,314 attendees registered in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against the Inter (3-3), just a week and a half before. The third place in this attendance ranking is held by the clash against Bayern Munich (4-1) on October 23, with 50,312 spectators in the stands.
Other high-attendance matches this season were the Barça-Borussia Dortmund (4-0) with 49,760 people, the exciting Barça-Celta (4-3) with 48,569, the Barça-Espanyol (3-1) with 48,443, and the derby against Girona (4-1) with 48,258.

The team's good sporting performance has been decisive in this boost. With the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey already conquered, and the league practically decided, the fanbase has responded in large numbers. This momentum is also reflected in other revenues, such as the increase in sales of team jerseys and official club products.
Barça is experiencing a sweet moment on all fronts
Hansi Flick's team, which was crowned La Liga champion in the derby against Espanyol (0-2), experienced a real party after Sunday's match in Montjuïc against Villarreal (2-3), where, despite the defeat, captain Marc-André ter Stegen was able to offer the La Liga trophy to the 'culé' fanbase.
With record figures, sporting success, and a total connection with its fans, Football Club Barcelona concluded a historic day at Montjuïc which ended up becoming the prelude to an unforgettable celebration.
Barça prepares for its return to Camp Nou
The club expects to return to Camp Nou in September 2025, with an initial capacity of 60,000 seats, and for the 2025-26 season, it expects to generate more than 340 million in revenue.
Last season, Barça was the seventh European club with the highest ticket sales revenue, ahead of giants like Liverpool or Manchester City, demonstrating its drawing power even during a period of transition.
