FC Barcelona is the champion of LaLiga 2024-2025! After winning at Espanyol's ground and with two matchdays to go, Hansi Flick's team have been crowned champions of Spain for the twenty-eighth time in their history.
It was the night of FC Barcelona, the one they had dreamed of so much since they lifted their last LaLiga title with Xavi. It has been a long time coming, but the Blaugrana have once again dominated Spanish football and lifted the trophy that accredits them as CHAMPIONS, leaving a season with historic numbers and that marks the beginning of a 'new era' with Hansi Flick at the helm of the ship.
The consecration has happened in an 'enemy' ground, in that of an RCD Espanyol that was playing for their lives in the derby but that has run out of arguments to discuss the match with a Blaugrana team that arrived in Cornellà to do what they had to do: seek victory to begin the celebration of their twenty-eighth Spanish League.
A new League title!
The team led by Hansi Flick has been crowned in LaLiga EA Sports with their 28th title after a magical season. With two matchdays to go, the Blaugrana have a 7-point advantage over second place, occupied by Real Madrid, with historic records that reveal their overwhelming dominance in the competition. They have 85 points with 97 goals scored and 37 conceded.
The Blaugrana have known how to overcome difficulties, that is clear. They fell against Atlético de Madrid on matchday 18 and, since then, they have been treading hard with a historic comeback chaining 17 games without losing.

Barça wins its first national treble: League, Cup and Super Cup
With the victory against Espanyol, Barcelona won the NATIONAL TREBLE (La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup, in the same season) for the FIRST TIME in its history.
In addition to the League title, the Azulgranas took the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey, with two sensational finals against Real Madrid, although they were not lucky in Europe, eliminated one step away from the final after suffering an arbitration unworthy of the Champions League.
Despite everything (and therefore), it has been Barça's firmest step to welcome the new guard and finally celebrate the third title in the Hansi Flick era. The victory in LaLiga 2024/25 adds to an impeccable trajectory in recent years, where the Azulgrana team has dominated the competition with enviable authority and regularity.
10 League titles in the last 17 seasons
The 2008/09 season brought Barça into a new dimension. Between 2009 and 2019, the Azulgrana won eight Leagues, clearly dominating the national scene with Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Luis Enrique Martínez and Ernesto Valverde on the bench.
After 2019, there were three seasons without the title in the domestic competition, but Xavi Hernández's Barça, with great defensive solidity -Ter Stegen was the Zamora with an average of 0.49 goals conceded per game- and a very effective attack -Lewandowski was the Pichichi with before 23 goals-. added the last League before this one.
Cruyff's Dream Team and Rijkaard's Barça
Without a doubt, the 90s were a turning point. With a Barça that already had ten Leagues in the honors list, the Azulgrana added another six, consolidating themselves among the most successful clubs in Spanish football.
Within this stage, it is worth highlighting the four consecutive titles achieved by Johan Cruyff's Dream Team between the 1990/91 and 1993/94 seasons. With this milestone, the Dutchman became the coach with the most Leagues in the history of the Club, and laid a cornerstone in Barça's trajectory in the competition.
Years later, under the orders of Frank Rijkaard, and with a team to remember with names like Valdés, Puyol, Iniesta, Ronaldinho or Eto'o, the Club would once again achieve two consecutive Leagues between 2004 and 2006.
Now, with the first of Flick's Barça, a new triumphant era is expected to open in Spanish football, and also in continental football.
