Barça League champion: this is how the Spanish and international press describes the culé title

FC Barcelona was proclaimed champion of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 with a victory in the Catalan derby against Espanyol (0-2). The team led by Hansi Flick did their homework in Cornellà to celebrate the 28th title in the club's history and the first domestic treble in its history.

The day at the RCDE Stadium was not easy, as Manolo González's team put the culés in trouble in the first half. Szczesny had to intervene in two one-on-one situations to prevent his goal from falling and, in attack, Barça lacked its usual depth to stand in the opponent's field.

• The French newspaper highlights the feat of the League title "in the most unlikely season to do so", alluding to the youth of the squad, the multiple absentees in the squad and the unexpected appearance of Szczesny. With a generation of teenagers and a reckless defensive system, Flick knew how to get the best out of the entire squad to win the domestic treble, argues France24.

A Bola: "Barcelona was crowned champion with a great goal from Lamine Yamal"

• The Portuguese newspaper describes Lamine Yamal's great goal as a "masterpiece" and highlights the merit of the blaugrana victory against an Espanyol that played, probably, its most complete match of 2025, but finally had to resign itself to seeing Barça celebrate, for the second consecutive season in Primera, the League title in its field.
