Social media continues to reveal news about the Spotify Camp Nou. Barça is already testing the new LED immersion lighting of the Estadi
FC Barcelona continues to work hand in hand with the construction company Limak so that the return to the renovated Spotify Camp Nou is as soon as possible. In this sense, videos have gone viral through social media where you can see how details are being refined in the venue.
Thus, parallel to the structural works, continuous tests of the different aspects of the venue are being carried out in the mythical Estadi. One of the tests that has attracted the most attention in recent days is that of lighting.

The disseminated images reveal what is expected to be the future LED immersion of the playing field, a key element within the renovated visual experience that the new Camp Nou will offer. The audiovisual material has generated considerable expectation among the culé fans.
The lighting tests are not the only relevant novelty in the renovation process. The structure of the third tier presents a notable advance, which would allow, even from the outside, to begin to glimpse the definitive aesthetics of the new stadium. The definitive grass was also installed in recent days.
The return to Camp Nou, a priority objective for Barça in 25/26
After Barça did not receive the First Occupation license to return to the Spotify Camp Nou on August 10 and play the Joan Gamper Trophy, the objective was set to try to play the first home game of the 2025/26 season at the stadium, which will be against Valencia, between September 13 and 14, for J4 of LaLiga.
However, the club, for now, will not give more specific dates about a possible return, after the last refusal of the City Council to grant the permit that is essential to open works of such magnitude.
In case of playing the aforementioned match at the Camp Nou, the club hopes to receive at least 30,000 fans. In the best of scenarios, there could be about 45,000 fans, but everything is subject to the progress of the works so that the City Council finally delivers the license.
The reasons that stopped Barça's return to the Spotify Camp Nou
In this context, on July 18, the vice president of the Institutional Area of the club, Elena Fort, gave some statements to Barça One, explaining the reasons that prevented the return to Les Corts.
Clearly, Fort stressed that the main reason why the permit was not obtained lies in the complexities presented by the execution schedule of the works.
In addition, the pace of work and the deadlines involved prevented adequate compliance with municipal ordinances, as well as progress in the administrative procedures required for the competent body of the City of Barcelona to grant the corresponding authorization.
Finally, Barça hopes to return to the Estadi in September. Otherwise, a new delay will force them to play at the Lluís Companys, at least, until the end of the year, since the possibility of maintaining two open venues is totally ruled out. If the team cannot play Liga and Champions in Les Corts from next month, they will have to return to Montjuïc.
