The final stretch of 2025 holds a complex schedule for Barça. After the third and final break of the year, Hansi Flick's team will play 9 matches, including their debut in the Copa del Rey

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona will face a tough schedule in the last month of competition in 2025. The team led by Hansi Flick will return to action on November 22 and will not have a break until the weekend of December 20-21, when LaLiga begins its break for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Even with six players in the infirmary, but three of them awaiting medical discharge next week (Joan García, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal), Barça will play a total of nine matches in one month, with maximum 96-hour breaks between each encounter

Barça will play six league games before the end of the year

Flick's men will resume their LaLiga campaign at home against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, November 22nd, pending confirmation of whether the match will be played at Montjuïc or the Camp Nou. A week later, they host Alavés (November 29th), and on Tuesday, December 2nd, they face Atlético Madrid, also at home, in an early fixture from Matchday 19 (due to the Spanish Super Cup being played in January).

In other words, Barça will play their next nine points in the league at home. After that, the Blaugrana visit Betis for Matchday 14. Osasuna (Camp Nou) and Villarreal (La Cerámica) will be the Catalans' final league opponents of 2025, likely on December 13th and 20th.

In the Champions League, for its part, Barcelona will have a couple more rivals before the end of the year, one away and one at home. Flick's team must visit **Chelsea** on Tuesday, November 25, at Stamford Bridge and, on matchday 6, they will host **Eintracht Frankfurt** on Tuesday, December 9.

After the 3-3 draw against Bruges, the Blaugrana team is obliged to secure 6 points to maintain realistic chances of finishing in the TOP-8 that grants direct access to the round of 16. For now, the Catalans occupy 11th place with 7 points out of a possible 12.

  1. Champions Matchday 5: Chelsea vs Barcelona, Tuesday, November 25 at Stamford Bridge (9:00 PM CET).
  2. Champions Matchday 6: Barcelona vs Eintracht, Tuesday, December 09 (9:00 PM CET, venue to be confirmed).

Barça's Copa del Rey debut will be in December

In addition, the Barça calendar includes the first Copa del Rey match. Unlike in recent seasons, the round of 32 will be played in mid-December and not in January, meaning Barça will likely begin their title defense on **Tuesday, December 16 or Wednesday, December 17**.

The second round of the tournament will be played from December 2 to 4, with 16 First Division teams already in action, except for Barça, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Athletic Club (the top four classified teams in LaLiga 24/25). The draw for the round of 32 will take place at the end of the second round.

Thus, Hansi Flick's Barça will play a total of nine official matches after the third international break of 25/26. The figure will increase to ten games if, finally, the friendly match before Christmas is confirmed, in Peru or Morocco.
