Barça is preparing to launch the sale of tickets for the Joan Gamper Trophy next week. The Catalan club will give priority to members
With just over 10 days to go before the Joan Gamper Trophy, FC Barcelona is already preparing to start selling tickets for the match that will be played at the Johan Cruyff stadium, with a capacity of just 6,000 fans.
From next week, the purchase option will be enabled. Of course, Barca members will have exclusivity in the process of acquiring tickets for the match that will be played against Como 1907 of Serie A. For the first 72 hours, access will be reserved only for them.
Once this period has ended, and provided that there are tickets available, the sale will be opened to the general public, allowing more fans to attend the traditional match that marks the start of the season.
Barça has high expectations for the Gamper
In this context, within Barça they are aware of the excitement that the team has generated for the 2025/26 season, so they believe that there will be a full house to see the team at home.
Although, in the same way, they regret that the commitment cannot be played at the Spotify Camp Nou, as planned, due to the City Council's refusal to grant the First Occupation License.
Despite the setbacks, Barça, it seems, never considered the option of canceling the match, despite the fact that just a few weeks ago the club was managing that the match would be played at the culé temple yes or yes.
It is worth remembering that the fans already experienced an atypical edition in 2021, due to the health restrictions generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, for which the Gamper took place at the Johan Cruyff.
In that year, marked by the limitation of the public, the club decided to carry out a double format at the venue, thus celebrating both the men's and women's team matches.
In addition, the event served as a stage for the official presentation of the blaugrana squad, with the traditional speeches of the coach and the captain on the pitch, reinforcing the bond with the fans in difficult times. For the current edition, Barça would also be considering repeating this formula.
Barça is working to return to the Camp Nou in its home debut against Valencia
Although the board of the azulgrana team decided that they would not announce a return date to the Spotify Camp Nou until they are 100% sure that it will materialize, they are still working so that the team can return to the renovated stadium to play their first match as local in LaLiga 2025/26, which will be against Valencia CF.
So far, that match will take place on September 14 and will be part of J4 of the new league season. However, the club is considering other scenarios in case it cannot finalize its return to the Camp Nou.
That is why, given the uncertainty about the availability of the Spotify Camp Nou for the start of LaLiga, Barca is considering the possibility of moving its inaugural match as local to the Johan Cruyff stadium, without leaving aside the option of Montjuic, as long as the activities in this venue allow it.
The decision must be made in a matter of days, and the club remains in constant contact with the Barcelona City Council to reach a consensus solution that guarantees the development of the match in optimal conditions.
