Barça's victory in Valladolid (1-2) brings Hansi Flick's team closer to the Liga title. How many games must the 'culés' win to complete the treble?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona is much closer to winning its third treble in history after the narrow victory against Valladolid (1-2). On Saturday, Hansi Flick's team took another firm step towards the LaLiga title with a hard-fought victory in Pucela.

With an XI full of substitutes, Barça started losing due to an early goal from Iván Sánchez in the 6th minute. The introduction of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha changed the team's face, and in the second half, the comeback goals would arrive.

The Brazilian, in the 54th minute, and Fermín López, in the 60th minute, scored the goals that leave the 'azulgrana' team one win away in next week's Clásico to seal LaLiga with three matchdays remaining in the season.

Now, it's time to focus on the visit to Inter Milan, with the obligation to win in Italy to get into the Champions League final. This will be the first decisive victory towards the treble, just before the last Clásico of 24/25 in Montjuïc next Sunday.

The draw in the first leg in Catalunya (3-3) left the tie completely open for the return leg at the Giuseppe Meazza. The 'nerazzurri' have 5 wins and 1 draw in 6 matches as hosts in the Champions League, but Barça has also been strong as a visitor.

For now, Flick's team has accumulated 4 wins and 2 losses away from home in the tournament where they are, by far, the highest-scoring team with 40 goals in 13 matches. The first leg in Montjuïc was a frenetic match, and a similar encounter is expected in Italy on Tuesday.

If they advance to the final, on May 31 at the Allianz Arena, Barça will face Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal. The Gauls are, for now, favorites to qualify, after winning in London (0-1).

Five days after the Champions League semifinal against Inter, it's time to host Real Madrid for matchday 35 of LaLiga. The 'merengues' are obliged to beat Celta this Sunday to arrive with hopes next Sunday in Catalunya.

Beyond that, if Madrid arrives 4, 6, or 7 points behind Barça, the Clásico will be a real final. An 'azulgrana' victory will allow the Catalans to escape to 7, 9, or 10 points, with only 3 matches to play. In this way, the 'culés' have everything in their hands to celebrate the title at home against their biggest rival.

This would also be the third title that Flick's team wins against Real, after the victories in the finals of the Spanish Super Cup (2-5) and the Copa del Rey (3-2). Thus, Barça has everything in their hands to, with three more victories, close out 24-25 with the treble in their hands.
