FC Barcelona has carried out a survey among its members to find out their opinion on the institution's ownership model. Currently, the club is owned 100% by the members, but in this question several options are raised in relation to this issue
The partners of the FC Barcelona received recently an email that contained an extensive survey by part of the club. In this poll, the Barcelona cast looked for the opinion of his associated on several important subjects for the barcelonismo, in relation with the closing of the campaign 2023/24. It questioned them about the sportive moment, economic, social and institutional of the club, and if they thought that the situation was better or worse that does a year in all these appearances. Also it consulted them if they thought that the club would be in better or worse situation inside a year.
Between the a lot of questions made in this survey, there was an interrogante that seemed to call especially the attention because of his content. This question questioned to the partners on the model of property of the Barcelona club: "The Barça is property 100% of the partners and of the partners and the important decisions have to approve in a general assembly or in referendum in which all the world has voice. Which model would prefer for the FCB?".
In front of this individual cuestionamiento, offered five options to answer. The first of them did not involve any change: "Better follow as up to now, property 100% of the partners". However, the two following alternatives himself opened the door to a change in the model of property of the club: "Better be Sportive Anonymous Society with shareholders" and "Better a mixed model with 51% of property of the partners". Also they presented two variants that evaded to take a clear posture on the subject: "Any of the previous models" or "do not know it".
It will be the FC Barcelona evaluating a change of model of property?
It is comprehensible that this cuestionamiento can generate some controversy in the current context. Although the survey tackled other more evident subjects, like the assessment of the experience in the rise of Montjuïc, the 'case Negreira' and even the Superliga European, results striking that include this question on an apparently isolated subject.
This earns importance if it considers that recently aseveraba that Joan Laporta did not want to listen neither speak to sell a part of the FC Barcelona. Even in the program 'Què t'hi jugues' of 'Chain BE', mentioned that the Catalan picture is working to avoid that a change in the model of property can be approved in an Assembly of Partners Compromisarios. Besides, it mentioned that in the Barcelonan institution was working in including in the statutes a formula that guarantee the permanence of the current model and that any change require the open vote of all the social mass of the club.
By the economic actuality that is crossing the club, results anecdótico that pose the idea, although it was alone in a survey. This does not involve necessarily that the institution want to promote said change. However, the fact that it mention the idea results particularly curious and could go against of the ideals of a club that enorgullece to be property 100% of his partners.
