Lamine Yamal's mural was vandalized with ironic drawings recalling the controversy over his 18th birthday party
While Lamine Yamal was finishing his participation in the Asian tour with FC Barcelona, facing Daegu FC (0-5), the mural where he appears dressed as Superman in the Gracia neighborhood was vandalized.
The seven dwarfs from the Disney movie were added to the graffiti, in reference to the hiring of people with achondroplasia at his last birthday.
Almost a month after the celebration of the '10', controversies continue to arise, but Lamine ignores them with his stellar performances on the field.
It is not the first time that the mural made by the Italian artist TV Boy has been attacked. The original drawing was already destroyed in July, but the artist was able to recover it quickly. The artist's idea was to offer an inspiring vision of the athlete for the residents of the community and passersby who travel through the center of Barcelona.
The Williams brothers' mural was also attacked
Not only in Barcelona was a mural attacked, but also in Bilbao. It is a situation that has occurred frequently in Spain. In the Barakaldo mural, Nico Williams had been removed, who appeared next to his brother Iñaki, after the possibility of going to Barça became known.
Despite the tension unleashed in the Basque city, the one from Pamplona renewed with Athletic Club until 2035. Barça, for its part, turned the page by closing the transfer of Marcus Rashford. A signing that is already bearing fruit for Hansi Flick's team, as the Englishman closed the Asian tour with a goal and an assist in three appearances.
Lamine Yamal gave an assist against Daegu
Lamine Yamal, for his part, was in all the preseason matches in Asia, playing 135 minutes, divided into 45 minutes per match. In his last appearances in South Korea he was influential. Firstly, he scored twice against FC Seoul, then he closed with an assist to Gavi in the game against FC Daegu.
The young Barça star hopes to return home and wear the '10' against Como, which is managed by Cesc Fábregas, in the Joan Gamper Trophy, the last preparatory match for the start in LaLiga EA Sports against Mallorca.
