Barça is about to close its first 'lever' for 200 million euros

The FC Barcelona is very near to concretise the first of the 'crowbars' financial fiancées by the directive. According to the television channel 'Four', the club will announce the Thursday the sale of 10% of the television rights of the club by the next 25 years with the group North American investor Sixth Street, which will credit little more than 200 million euros to the club by the operation. With this money, Joan Laporta will be able to close the exercise 2021-22 in green numbers.

This is key to begin to incorporate signings, since in this moment the club can not buy to any player because of the negative heritage of 450 million euros accumulated, in addition to the limit salarial negative of -114 'kilos' that prevents to fulfil with the 'fair play' financial of LaLiga. "There are operations already done, but LaLiga follows a criterion very restrictivo and urges to do an operation that want that we do and that yes would generate a minimum 'fair play', and is the sale of 10% of the television rights", explained Laporta in an interview with the newspaper 'L'Esportiu of Catalonia'.

LaLiga Expected that the Barça accepted the offer of the investment fund CVC Capital Partners, but the directive opted for looking for other more profitable options. In this sense, Laporta could have bent by Sixth Street, group investor with which the Real Madrid signed an agreement in May by the cession of the rights of exploitation of some businesses in Santiago Bernabéu in return of 360 million euros.
