The first team players of FC Barcelona have had the opportunity to customize their new CUPRA after experiencing a unique driving experience at the Circuit de Terramar, a historic track where the brand was born in 2018. During this special day, the footballers and the club's coaching staff immersed themselves in the CUPRA world, exploring the entire range of models and experiencing firsthand the driving sensations of these vehicles.
The event was attended by coach Hansi Flick and 22 first team players, including the CUPRA brand ambassador, Marc-André ter Stegen, as well as captains Ronald Araújo, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, and Pedri. The activity not only allowed the players to learn about the different models but also offered them the chance to configure their vehicles according to their preferences, choosing colors, wheels, interiors, and additional equipment.

Notably, Andreas Christensen and Frenkie De Jong chose the limited edition America’s CUP of the Terramar. Ronald Araujo opted for the 265 HP Terramar VZ; Jules Koundé for the 333 HP Formentor VZ; Raphinha for the 340 HP Tavascan VZ; and Hansi Flick for the 272 HP Terramar VZ e-Hybrid.
CUPRA renews its partnership with FC Barcelona until 2029
An Unmatched Driving Experience. The Circuit de Terramar, the fourth oldest circuit in the world, served as the stage for the FC Barcelona players to test the capabilities of the CUPRA vehicles. During the day, the footballers were able to drive different models from the brand, including gasoline versions, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric options in their VZ range. The test included acceleration exercises, navigating the iconic banked turns of the circuit, and a challenging slalom designed to assess the agility of the cars.
The most sought-after models by Barça players were the CUPRA Formentor, the new CUPRA Terramar, and the CUPRA Tavascan.
Innovation and Technology in CUPRA's DNA. In addition to the driving test, the players were able to experience CUPRA's Virtual Reality, exploring 3D versions of the CUPRA Tavascan and CUPRA Terramar models. They were also introduced to the CUPRA DarkRebel, a showcar that pushes the boundaries of design and innovation, redefining the future of sports mobility.

CUPRA has recently renewed its partnership with FC Barcelona until 2029, expanding its sponsorship to all professional teams of the club as the Official Automotive and Mobility Partner, in addition to being the Official Car. As part of FC Barcelona's 125th anniversary, the brand has launched a campaign focused on emerging talents, highlighting the future stars of men's and women's football.
