Since the end of September, Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Pedri and Raphinha have not left the starting eleven of FC Barcelona
Hansi Flick has shown a clear preference for four players who have become the backbone of FC Barcelona in the first half of the season. Since the end of September, Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Pedri and Raphinha have started for at least 13 consecutive games, avoiding rotations despite the tight schedule.
The Cubarsí-Iñigo duo has established itself as one of the most solid in the world. The youth-team player has started in the last 15 games, only being substituted in three of them (Getafe, Young Boys and Red Star). For his part, the Basque has not left the starting eleven since his break at Osasuna, playing 13 consecutive games as a starter.
Meanwhile, Pedri has left his physical problems behind and is achieving the continuity that these had prevented him from having since his arrival in Barcelona. Like Martínez, the Canary Islander has started in 13 consecutive games since being substituted at Osasuna, although he has been replaced on 10 occasions (Sevilla, Real Madrid, Espanyol, Celta, Mallorca, Betis, Young Boys, Bayern, Red Star and Brest).
The 'untouchables' of the forward line
Likewise, Raphinha has not left the starting lineup since the match against Young Boys in the Champions League (13 consecutive games), being substituted in six of them. The Brazilian is the only member of the forward line not to have been a substitute in the last two months.
Finally, a special mention must be made of Robert Lewandowski, who until the match against Mallorca was the only first-team player to have started in the 20 games played by Barça before their visit to Son Moix. The Pole rested against the Bermellones, but returned to the game against Betis last Saturday.
