Alejandro Balde reported racist insults directed at him during the Getafe-Barça match this Saturday. The full-back communicated this to the referee, who activated the protocol
Alejandro Balde was the victim of a completely unacceptable and reprehensible episode at the Coliseum. At the end of the match between Getafe and FC Barcelona, the left-back reported racist insults from the blue fans.
"I received several racist insults. This should not continue to happen. It was in the first half and I told the referee, who activated the protocol"
"I don’t know exactly how that protocol works and I have to try to forget what happened," the player assured to the microphones of 'Movistar+'. Hansi Flick supported the defender's claims in a press conference, stating that "it’s incredible, there is no place for this in football or in life. Those people should be at home and we must fight against this. The people around them should do something because it is unfair and disrespectful".
🗣️ "He recibido varios insultos racistas. No debería seguir pasando".

The referee noted Balde's accusations in the report
The referee of the match, Pablo González Fuertes, noted in the report what happened between the stands and Balde. "At halftime and still on the field, the visiting player number 3 communicated to my assistant number 2 that racist messages were directed at him".
"Once in the locker rooms, I informed the delegates of both teams and UCO, proceeding to carry out the anti-racism protocol before the start of the second half," concluded the referee, thus confirming the activation of the protocol once the player reported the reprehensible insults from the local fans.
A corridor to forget
The lamentable racist shouts directed at Balde are a product of the tension generated in the lead-up to the match. In the vicinity of the Coliseum, the atmosphere heated up hours before the whistle blew. With banners, chants labeling Barça as a mafia and the usual references to Catalunya, the Getafe fans began their particular show full of hostility.
In fact, the players led by José Bordalás performed the honor corridor for the Catalans in tribute to their victory in the Spanish Supercup, but the attending crowd received the blaugrana players with boos and disrespected their team's gesture. A shameful night for the blue fans, who should be sanctioned by LaLiga after the despicable acts committed against Barça and, above all, Alejandro Balde.
