February has been extraordinary for FC Barcelona in LaLiga EA Sports. The azulgrana team has achieved a perfect record (3 out of 3) and has taken the league lead from Real Madrid. This success has led the governing body to consider several players from the Catalan squad for its usual monthly awards under the #PremiosLaLiga campaign.

This time, it has been announced that LaLiga EA Sports has nominated Pedri González as one of the five candidates for the Player of the Month award in the local competition. The player from Tegueste will compete against Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid (two goals in three matches), Ante Budimir of CA Osasuna (three goals in three games), Antony of Real Betis (two goals and one assist in three matches), and Oihan Sancet of Athletic Club (four goals in three games).

It doesn't take many words to support Pedri González's candidacy for this award. The '8' has completed all the matches played by FC Barcelona in February, standing out as a starter in the matches of matchday 22 against Deportivo Alavés (1-0), matchday 23 against Sevilla FC (1-4), and against Rayo Vallecano on matchday 24 (1-0), being the MVP in the last two encounters.

Although his goal/assist statistics may not be the most eye-catching, with only one assist against Sevilla, it is evident that his nomination is based on his ability to generate play in the culé midfield. In another category, it has been revealed that Lamine Yamal from FC Barcelona is nominated again for the Best U-23 Player award for February, having provided one assist in three matches played this month. The 17-year-old right winger will compete for this honor with four other players: Christantus Uche of Getafe CF (one goal in three matches), Javi Rodríguez of Celta de Vigo (one goal in three games), Jesús Rodríguez of Real Betis, and Javi Guerra of Valencia CF (one goal and one assist in three matches).

Hansi Flick, nominated for the Coach of the Month award

Regarding the Coach of the Month award in LaLiga, it is not surprising that Hansi Flick is nominated. The German coach, who has already received this award this season, has been in charge during the three victories of the culé team this February, demonstrating an attractive and effective style of play. The azulgrana coach will compete against Carlos Corberán of Valencia CF and José Bordalás of Getafe CF in this contest.
