The TAS has estimated partially the allegations presented by Luis Suárez and will allow him train with the Barcelona, be presented and contest the Gamper, although it keeps the sanction imposed by the FIFA of four months and nine parties without playing with the Uruguayan selection
The Court of Sportive Arbitration (TAS) has estimated partially the allegations presented by the forward of the Barça Luis Suárez and will allow him train with the Barcelona club, although it keeps the sanction imposed by the FIFA of four months and nine parties without playing with the Uruguayan selection. The referee's decision, that has made public the TAS after gathering in Lausana, leaves clear that the sanction of four months "applies only to official parties and is not extensible to other activities related with the football, like trainings, promotional activities or administrative subjects".
The TAS understands like "proportional to the crime committed" the sanction of four months without playing, but considers "excessive" the prohibitions of not being able to access to any sportive enclosure neither develop any activity related with the football. "Said measures are not adapted to sanction the infringement committed by the player and still would have an impact in his activity after the end of the suspension", signals the resolution.
This Friday trains with the team and will be presented in the Gamper
Luis Suárez will incorporate to the trainings of the Barça this Friday in the morning, to the 9.30 in the Sportive City Joan Gamper. Likewise, the public presentation of the Uruguayan like new player of the FC Barcelona will do the Monday in the Camp Nou, coinciding with the dispute of the Trophy Joan Gamper against the Club León of Mexico.
The Uruguayan forward will debut with the T-shirt of the Barça in official party in the Classical against the Real Madrid of 26 October in the Bernabéu. While, it will be able to train and contest friendly parties so much with the FC Barcelona as with the selection of Uruguay.
The chronology of the "case Suárez"
Luis Suárez was sanctioned by the FIFA with nine parties of suspension with his selection -already has fulfilled one- and four months of inhabilitación for "any activity related with the football" for biting in the shoulder to the Italian Giorgio Chiellini in a party of the World-wide past of Brazil.
