The Uruguayan forward of the FC Barcelona, Luis Suárez, has defended in his book the controversial racist incident that had with Patrice Evra in the Premier League, and that ensures that it misunderstood entirely although it will accompany him already for all the life

In an extract of his book published by "The Guardian" and collected by other means like the newspaper "Sport", Luis Suárez has defended of the indictments of racism that has received along his career futbolística as a result of the incident that starred in a party of Premier League with Patrice Evra, then player of the Manchester United. In "Crossing the line, My Story", that is as it calls his book, the Barcelona relates in first person the facts leaving clear that "am not racist. I am sad and angered every time that think that this will be a stigma that, probably, go to accompany for ever".

Suárez has insisted in the version that has given always, that Evra misunderstood the message of some words that went out of his mouth in Spanish. "If you do not speak Spanish, do not accuse me to abuse you in this language and, less, to say that I have called you 'black' in five occasions in hardly ten seconds". "He began to argue with me in Spanish and memory that further that it called me "American South" hardly could understand more than what said... Evra Came in a corner to ask after me what had struck him, something totally hipócrita when a defence happens all the party striking".

Luis Suárez never has hid that it called him "black", but ensures that it did not go in a racist sense, but as if it called him "lean" or "fat", something very common his country. "What a lot of people does not want to accept is that the discussion took place in Spanish and that did not use "black" in the sense that has in English... It is evident that did not pretend to be gentile and kind with Evra when saying him this, but was not a racist attack".

"In Spanish calls many times by some physical characteristic like blond, lean, fat... Black can refer to somebody with peel black or dark skin and is something that have used always. My woman, for example, sometimes calls me "Black" and my grandmother called always "negrito" to my grandfather", signals. Another of the things that protests is that "what sucedió is that I said him to Evra "Why, black?" And no "because black". They mean different things, but they interpreted it in English like the second. I seat that I do not deserve the label of racist".

"Never I asked pardon to Evra because it felt that it had not done at all bad, but would not have had any problem in giving him the hand when we went back us to find. In fact, memory that Evra went giving him the hand to all my mates in the row until I arrived I and went down it. The images are here for the one who want to see them. My hand remained in high, but when I saw that no went it to me to give said me "ok, does not have me give the hand" and followed. Afterwards he began to complain that I had not wanted to him give the hand while it looked askance to Sir Alex Fergusson to see if 'dad' had seen him. If it was a cheat, fell", explains also the Uruguayan.
