The Bayern of Munich, that attained the triplete the past season with Heynckes in the bench, has been chosen like the best club of the world of the year 2013 according to the International Federation of History and Statistics of the Football (IFFHS)

The Bayern of Munich (Germany) has been chosen like the best team of the world of the year 2013 by the IFFHS (International Federation of History and Statistics of the Football). The classification situates to the Real Madrid (Spain) in second position, Chelsea (United Kingdom) in third, the Athletic of Madrid (Spain) in fourth and to the Barça (Spain) in fifth.

The Bayern of Munich accumulates, in function of the scales of punctuation of this federation, a total of 370 points, whereas surprisingly the Real Madrid (290) is above Chelsea (273), Athletic of Madrid (251) and F. C. Barcelona (247). It results incredible that the Real Madrid, that did not win absolutely at all in 2013, have remained by in front of Chelsea (finalist of the Champions), Athletic (champion of Glass and Supercopa of Europe) and Barça (champion of League and semifinalist of the League of Champions).

According to the IFFHS, the Real Madrid, although it did not win any competition, attained the semifinal of the League of Champions and the final of the Glass of Rey and was second in the Spanish League, whereas the good performances of the Athletic of Madrid, champion of Glass of Rey and of the Supercopa of Europe, have relegado to the first qualifier of 2012, to the Barça, to the fifth place. A very debatable position, overcoat taking into account that the Barcelona team was champion of League and semifinalist of the UEFA Champions League, that puts in doubt some of the criteria of punctuation used by the IFFHS.

This is the first time in the history that this classification has remained headed by a German club, in this case the Bayern of Munich, that has achieved the second better punctuation in the history of this classification, only surpassed by the Juventus Italian, that added 372 points in the year 1993.
